Creative Producer The Last Human
SPACE/Stichting We Are Space is looking for an innovative, socially engaged, independent, reliable and business-minded creative producer for the further development of the project The Last Human.
We are looking for a creative producer who develops fundraising strategies in the Netherlands and Europe, keeps track of budgets, contracts, deliverables and deadlines and coordinates collaboration with partners and the team.
Our ideal candidate is inventive, independent, reliable, and business-minded and interested in socially engaged content. He/she/they can think and communicate horizontally within an international (project) team and is able to produce a high-quality art experience that is both scientifically and socially meaningful. He/she/they resonates with the urgency of the project and is interested in helping to build and stabilize the organization around this new and innovative form of art.
Responsibilities
- Devising, building, and running the project organisation appropriate to this hybrid project within cross-sector international partnerships.
- Budget management.
- Fundraising strategy, financial reporting to the funds in cooperation with partners and accountant.
- Monitoring costs, deadlines and targets and communicating them clearly to the team and partners.
- Determine resources needed and engage the team and partners as required to complete the project – identify gaps and actively seek solutions. Bring in external expertise or outsource tasks as needed.
- Prepare financial reports for the funds in cooperation with the partners and the accountant.
- Promote the project to key stakeholders, such as European and local funding organisations, international and Dutch municipalities, scientific, artistic, educational, and social networks, or other relevant organisations focused on creating social change.
- Coordinate with team, partners, associate partners and ensure that agreements are kept.
Skills and characteristics
- Demonstrated experience of successful project and budget management.
- Strong written and oral Dutch and English communication skills.
- A structured thinker with a pioneering spirit, warm heart, sense of humour and a positive attitude
- Being able to stay calm under pressure; creative problem-solving approach; identifying gaps and opportunities.
- Affinity with hybrid projects that bring art, science, and social engagement together and a practice-based approach and belief in the social impact of art.
- Higher professional or university education or thinking
- Comfortable working in a small organization on a new project, which requires flexibility and pragmatism in approach.
- Ability to deal with cultural differences and sensitivities.
- Experience with European and Erasmus + projects and a network in scientific research, the social domain and the arts are a pro.
